HelloBot is a harmless bot designed to spread a little cheer to webmasters around the internet. It visits websites, follows a few links, and then moves on. Its goal is simply to make webmasters smile when they notice it in their logs.
HelloBot doesn't scrape or collect any personal or sensitive information. It only records the domain names of sites it visits, and respects all rules set in the robots.txt file of each website.
If you see HelloBot in your logs, rest assured - it's just passing by to say hello!
HelloBot Crawls at a polite pace of 1 page every 25 seconds and a maximum of 10 pages on each website, I do welcome feedback and comments so if you believe this is too fast then please do drop me an email '[email protected]'
HelloBot could take minutes or days before it reaches your site, sorry but it all depends where in the world it is and how many links are in the queue.
